Prof. Dr. Ansgar Schwirtz

Professor Biomechanics in Sports | President | Technical University of Munich | DVS

Since 2002, Prof. Dr. Schwirtz is professor for biomechanics in Sports at the Technial Univerity Munich. He has been Dean of the Faculty of Sports and Health Sciences there since October 2013. After completing his postgraduate and doctoral studies at the DSHS in Cologne, Schwirtz received his doctorate in “Movement Technology and Muscular Coordination in Cross-Country Skiing”.

Since 2019 he is the president of DVS, the german association for sport science.
