The MEDICAL FAIR ASIA MEDICINE + SPORTS conference is the benchmark event for sports medicine and related disciplines in Asia. It fosters exchange between multiple disciplines like international sports medicine experts and scientists, professional athletes, sport techies, the sporting goods and healthcare industry. Experts from Medicine, Sports and Tech industry come together under one roof on 9th September 2020 to talk about new exchange formats, tailored sport medical therapies, and innovative approaches for prevention, recovery and population health management.

COOPERATION PARTNERS
AFSM (Asian Federation of Sports Medicine) was inaugurated in 1990 at the time of the 11th Asian Games in Beijing. It is one of the multi-national continental federations under the supervision of the International Federation of Sports Medicine (FIMS). To date, it has 30 National Sports Medicine Association members and is still growing. The main objective of the AFSM is to foster the promotion of sports medicine in Asia. Its constitution, by-laws, executive and commission structures are built in accordance to FIMS rules which was established in 1928.
Exercise is Medicine is an initiative of the American College of Sports Medicine. ACSM is the largest sports medicine and exercise science organization in the world. With more than 45,000 members and certified professionals worldwide, ACSM is dedicated to advancing and integrating scientific research to provide educational and practical applications of exercise science and sports medicine.
Exercise Is Medicine Singapore (EIMS) is a program spearheaded by Changi Sports Medicine Centre to make physical activity and exercise a standard part of preventing and treating diseases. Exercise is Medicine Singapore is the Singapore chapter of the American College of Sports Medicine’s (ACSM) global Exercise is Medicine initiative. The national EIM Task Forces are grouped into regional centers, where Singapore’s EIM Task Force falls under the Southeast Asia EIM Regional Centre.
Sports Medicine Association Singapore (SMAS) is the professional body for sports medicine and sports science professionals in Singapore. It is the local organization that represents and embodies the multi-disciplinary approach of Sports Medicine and brings together the wide-ranging expertise of sports medicine, sport orthopaedic, sports science and sports therapy professionals in one integrated community.
As the national sports agency, Sport Singapore’s core purpose is to inspire the Singapore spirit and transform Singapore through sport. Through innovative, fun and meaningful sporting experiences, our mission is to reach out and serve communities across Singapore with passion and pride. With Vision 2030 – Singapore’s sports master plan, our mandate goes beyond winning medals. Sport Singapore uses sport to create greater sporting opportunities and access, more inclusivity and integration as well as broader development of capabilities. At Sport Singapore, we work with a vast network of public-private-people sector partners for individuals to live better through sport.
FIMS is a structured and well-organised association, strongly committed to the promotion of the study and development of sports medicine throughout the world. The purpose and administration of FIMS is clearly set out in its Statutes and By-Laws. FIMS is made up of continental and national sports medicine associations, as well as multinational groups and individual members.
The EFSMA European Federation of Sports Medicine Associations is a not-for-profit association and recognized by the International Federation of Sports Medicine (FIMS). The specific objectives of EFSMA are to have Sports Medicine recognized as a specialty in all of Europe; to develop and harmonize education in Sports Medicine throughout Europe and to get Sports Medicine included in the basic curricula; to be a pan-European forum in Sports Medicine for the improvement of communication between sports Medicine Organizations; to coordinate European Sports Medicine actions and to cooperate with Sport Science disciplines in Europe; to increase understanding of the importance of physical activity for the whole population and dissemination of knowledge and methods of Sports Medicine for the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries and diseases; to encourage in common research; to establish and propagate a Sports Medicine Code of Ethics throughout Europe to implement Exercise Prescription for Health
