With the founding of the innovation network “Wearables in top-level sport” -WISS- in July 2015, the initiators of the Federal Institute of Sport Science and Innovation Manufacture set themselves the goal of discovering the potential of wearable technologies (wearable technologies, wearables) and making them increasingly usable for top German sport, Through the work done so far around the WISS network, numerous interdisciplinary collaborations and projects between sports practice, technology development and science have already been initiated. This resulted in an excellent response from all participating network members and external stakeholders.
